Assassin's Creed Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A strange meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the shadows." The plot features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine cult.
The adventure centers on "strange trials and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Metamorphoses
The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to several artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
